The Baroque era was the building stone for the neo-classical and the rococo period. That made it to a developing style after reformations occurred and views changed. The Baroque style, which was an emphasized movement and always part of a renaissance, developed during the 16th century in Rome, Italy, and travelled later to France. Nevertheless, the Italian Baroque and the French Baroque are not comparable.
Baroque is nowadays mainly famous for the French baroque era and due to Louis XIVs palace in Versailles. During the 1700s, rulers were anxious to show off with their power and wealth, which was fully accomplished by the time Versailles was finished.
Baroque art, music and architecture became bizarre, dramatic and more extravagant than ever before. Artists started following a more non-realistic way of drawing and led the “viewer” into an imaginary world, especially due to their usage of intensive contrasts. The „Baroque art period“ was a very important time in the history of art. It was the time after the High Renaissance.
The Baroque era was the result of the dramatic changes in the High Renaissance and of a counter-reformation from the protestant movement. After the Baroque style, a new style developed during the 18th century in Spain called Rococo, which is a humorous alteration of Rocaille, or Late Baroque. Especially leaders such as Louis XV, which was Louis XIVs son, represent the Rococo style through their monumental buildings, such as the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo, and its furniture. Furniture and architecture became more beautiful and better designed than in the Baroque period.
Unlike Baroque, which was more of a “bad taste” and bizarre, Rococo was also unnatural but developed, especially in Germany and Austria, to a very beautiful style. During the 19th and 20th century up until now, both styles influenced architecture, fashion, music, and furniture, which made it possible for the human race to develop in an more artistic way which we probably would not have today if there would have been no decadent Versailles parties with precious dresses dancing to music written by the best composers in history.
Baroque and its history:

Baroque developed during a humanistic era, that changed the view of people to understanding something because of reason, and depreciated the conservative way of thinking and especially its style of art to a more abstract way. Still, Baroque was not considered as a proper style during its period and could not be compared in the countries of Italy and France. French baroque was not exactly the same as Italian baroque, because...
