YouTube: A Global Change
In the year of 2005, many societies were to enter an alteration online and offline. With the difficulty of finding a desired video through an internet base, let alone the trouble of finding a free video online, it would now become much easier. A website on the internet would soon be able to play an influential role in many nations and areas around the world. People of all ages could have the ability to make a profit from their very own hobbies, and those with the same hobbies could browse to find all types of genres consisting of all different types of videos. Three technologically advanced people named Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim drastically changed the world when they created the online sensation that is known as YouTube (The Surprising History of YouTube!).
The introduction to YouTube was believed to be originally started by Elon Musk. Payments online had eventually brought the emergence of PayPal. The three creators all came from similar backgrounds. They all attended similar schools with their own individual alike interest. Karim, Hurley and Chen all had interest in science and computer science, which was close to perfect back in the 90s since this was such an up-and-coming business. Chad Hurley later left PayPal to work as a consultant for another rising company called eBay. Chen and Karim continued for a bit longer to work for PayPal (The Surprising History of YouTube!). Steve Chen followed in Chad Hurley’s path and began to work at eBay up until 2005 (Fitzpatrick).
Steve Chen was born on August 18, 1978 in Taipei, Taiwan. He lived in Taiwan up until he was 15 when he moved with his family into the eastern coast of the United States. Soon after their arrival in the United States, he...
