The world of work is rapidly changing. Global competition, deregulation and technological advances are forcing companies to change the shape of their workforces in response to market demands. Companies are de-layering, out-sourcing and increasingly work in multi-disciplinary teams is expanding. The traditional concept of the graduate career is also evolving resulting in the need for graduates to become more self-reliant, self-promoting and multi-skilled. In the past, the concept of a job for life was a graduate expectation with career development largely seen as a by-product of corporate employment. So there is no question that education will play an increasingly important role in the world now.A lot of job need the employees must have high educational level, such as assembly and machine operating, production crafts, service, and transportation occupations. That is different company has their own "culture". These companies should keep focus on globalization. The effect of globalization in shifting companies from manufacturing to service or knowledge-based economies (Drucker, P., 1993, p.95) had resulted in these firms competing on quality, customer focus, and core knowledge bases. For example, 'at Lloyds Bank UK Retail Banking the new competitive strategy demanded workforce, which had strong interpersonal skills and was capable of operating successfully in cross-functional teams, and a management cadre whose competencies encompassed sophisticated interpersonal skills, project management, and networking-a skill base which was profoundly different from the strong emphasis previously placed on process and technical skill.' (MAYO, A., 1995, p.34)Except these factors, the nature and extent of the competitions, intensity of competitive pressure; environmental restrictiveness; extent and rapidity of technological change and so on, all of those can influence the career development.Career development is an iterative and continuous process. It requires individuals to understand the environment in which they live and work, assess their strengths and limitations, validate that assessment, articulate their personal career vision, develop a plan for the future that is realistic for them, and then market themselves to achieve their career goals. Education affects not only the skill and earning power of workers in their country, but those in other nations as well. The company will support the investment in employee skill development and enhance their employability outside the company when their skills no longer required, and the provision of an active internal job market capable of providing information about the organization as an opportunity structure.
