“Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.” - Harriet Tubman.

This quote by Harriet Tubman has great meaning and power. If a person has will power, patience, and creativity to pursue something that would lead them to success, all that person really needs is a plan or a dream. You must be curious what is considered to be “successful”?. According to Merriam-Webster success means “the fact of getting or achieving wealth, respect, or fame”. In other words, success is someone with a lot of determination to accomplish a certain goal or achievement. To be successful you must have a dream to follow which requires a lot of determination, creativity, and don’t forget inspiration. Within this essay I will be explaining why these subtopics are needed to make your dream lead you to success.

Determination can help you make your dream a reality, which leads to success. A big factor of determination that is definitely essential is having the will to do it. Willpower means that you are patient and you are willing to find ways to pursue this dream to make it come true. Let’s talk about a person that made a big difference in the world with a dream.

His name is Martin Luther King Jr. Martin Luther King Jr was born in Atlanta on January 15, 1929. He is famous for being America's most influential civil rights activists. He was very determined, passionate, and motivated/inspired others, because he thought it was unfair for a person to treat someone differently just because of the color of their skin(especially if they had darker skin than others). An example of his determination is when Martin Luther King Jr delivered a speech titled "I have a dream" on August 28, 1963. This speech was delivered to 250,000 civil rights supporters from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. He inspired millions of black and white people to struggle for a more equal society.
