Several experts claim that technology has taken over our lives and its deteriorating human relationships. I do agree that our society has an obsession with technology, but it’s not deteriorating human relationships. The educational systems are using technology to teach classes. Online dating is the new way to meet other people; and social media is making us more aware of what is going on around the world. There are pros and cons of technology, but the positive does outweigh the negative.

I feel that through online dating people wouldn’t be as vulnerable as they would be in a face-to-face interaction. Certain people would disclose more information about themselves online, without fear of judgments. Another benefit of online dating is that people can find someone that fits their criteria. They are able to screen who they would like to talk to and who they wouldn’t talk to. I’ve seen plenty of relationships that were developed through a dating website and they’ve stayed together for many years. The reason they stayed together for so long was due to the long distance and the independence that the relationship provided. Online dating lets us converse with the other person before we make any decisions to meet them in a safe place; unlike people who just randomly met each other, go out, and dislikes each other.
