When desperate immigrants are confident of that the chances of successfully migrating are more than the risks and the cost, illegal immigration turn out to be an option. From the very beginning of human race, people have migrated from a place to another. Immigration has always been an essential part, of human history. Officially, there are two types of immigration in today world, legal and illegal immigration. The legal immigration is a process when someone moves to live in a different country from his/her country of citizenship through a legal process (Merriam-Webster, 2014). In the other hand, the illegal immigration is "a process when someone enters or resides in a country unlawfully without the country's permission" ("Global Issues", 2008, Para 3). Statistics show that during the last two centuries, migration increased to an extraordinary level, as a result of the globalization of world economy and its effect on living standard of people. Illegal immigration is a worldwide concern, United States and Europe are the most exhibition countries of illegal immigration in the world, between 15 and 20 per cent of the world's immigrant population are illegal (Papademetriou, 2013, para 6). There are three possible solutions to prevent illegal immigration which are improve the economy of poor countries, review and improve the immigration legislation and finally the best solution, building up a good communication system between developing and developed countries.
Although legal immigration has good effects on many countries, Illegal immigration has many bad impacts, on the host countries, and on the immigrants themselves. People immigrate illegally for many different reasons. Some immigrate illegally because they cannot meet the requirements of legal immigration, and have no jobs where they live moreover, they may live in a very poor country. Some people immigrate illegally because they have no security where they live and they want to live in a secure place so that their families will be safe (Williams, 2013, para 2). Illegal immigration has many bad influences, on the host countries. In these countries illegal immigrants are not paying taxes, while they getting the benefits from the social services like education and hospitals, therefore they are not adding to the country's money supply, for example, according to the U.S. Border Patrol estimation, there are more than eight million illegal immigrant's lives in the United States, and the number still increasing yearly most of these illegal immigrants are from Mexico, which they have their impact on the economy and job market in United States (Boyle,2013).
