People were living longer, and more children were able to see their way into adulthood with the rise in both medical advancements and a surplus of food. This increase led to a skyrocketing population that provided a capable workforce to continually improve and advance society. Through these changes, civilization was impacted positively. It is human nature to desire the common right of good health, and with the Industrial Revolution, this all so important desire was fulfilled.

A. Main idea/topic: Throughout Great Britain’s population during this revolutionary time period, many people were finding themselves with not only the crucial necessities, but life’s small luxuries.

This quote displays that the Industrial Revolution’s now expanding population was not only in good health, but they were receiving what they needed and more. Economy overall improved with the many jobs being supplied by the revolution’s growing number of businesses, and people were receiving good wages, enabling them to indulge in things that before would have been out of financial reach.

The Industrial Revolution brought about a growth in financial means that allowed for some of society to experience the finer goods in life on top of having an abundance of necessities. This improvement in the average quality of life advanced society greatly because people were starting live with more comfort, as oppose to exclusively having the primitive motive of eating and avoiding disease. Rather than just trying to make it through life, people began to actually live. This rise in life’s quality was a glorious change made in the Industrial Revolution, and one that impacted society positively.
