Teaching style is about how materials are delivered, rather than what is delivered. Teachings also refer to the process deliver knowledge and skill from the teacher to the students. It include the activities of educating or instructing. Each person has his or her own teaching style, and aware of their preferences when delivering the instruction. It can be defined as:
a set of attitudes and actions that open a formal and informal world of learning to the student. It is a subtle force that influences access to learning and teaching by establishing perimeters around acceptable learning procedures, processes and products. ” (Clark, 2008, p. 39). Other than that, it also offers handout capability for students, which would be beneficial for them to revise. Handouts make the teachers “portable and enduring” and lead to enhance to recall the information and enhance the test performance. Teacher used the handout as discussion aide and deliver additional information that not included in the lecture.From publishing lecture handout in the web for student’s access, is one of the routine in the many institutions. This method of distribution, provide a links to other online materials such as image archives and journal articles.

Facilitation is the second teaching style. It is more independent learning in nature compare to lecturing style. This teaching style focuses more on activities and it will emphasizes student centered learning. Teachers are able to design more activities ensure students are involved in learning, collaborating with each other and solving problems together. A learner play the role in the teaching learning process and teachers conduct classes based on experiment and practice role-play, group work, pair work, and project work. Therefore, teachers are more popular known as facilitators, rather than a mere classroom teacher. It will benefit students as they could be independent while learning and the same time be actively involved with others students. Based on the Developing the Art of Teaching: Guidelines for Effective Facilitation it stated that

“Facilitation is the art of making learning easy for students. It is the attitude of creating the conditions within which learning can take place. The facilitator should be more orchestrater than sermonizer, more empathic listener than dogmatic lecturer.” (P. Cristopher, 2001).

The third type of teaching style is demonstrator. Unlike, lecturing and facilitating, demonstrator approach concentrates on the performance of an academic procedure. It is largely applied in subjects that requires practical skills. The instructor defines the steps of an expert in the field. This would be use to accomplish necessary tasks as well, and the same time defines the standards, which would be, an indicator for students to gauge how well they have applied these procedures. The performance and results can be observed after over a period. The teacher/lecturer could demonstrate the procedures beforehand.
