Shakespeare has had a big effect on this generation and past generation’s entertainment and education with his creative and thoughtful writing. William Shakespeare was an author who wrote well-known plays. Many high schools and middle schools across the nation study Shakespeare every year. Shakespeare was a writer in the 1600’s he has a neat and positive and powerful influence on American Culture.
To begin with, there is no doubt that Shakespeare has been very beneficial to American Culture. “…Shakespeare was a master of the artistry of the English language. He wrote with such a fluidity of thought, word, and rhythm…” This is explaining how Shakespeare is such a great writer and how he took his time to make his writing perfect. Also from the article “Absolute Shakespeare”, “…performer before the court Queen Elisabeth I (The Marry Wives of Windsor in 1596, A Midsummers Night Dream in 160) and King James I who commended the Kings Men’s two performances of the Merchant Venice in 1605.” Shakespeare was the frequent performer before all of these other famous performers started to perform. Shakespeare was a performer just like the Marry Wives of Windsor, Court Queen and Elizabeth I. This is how Shakespeare and all of the other performers relate. Yes, Shakespeare was loved by many and was much known where he lived.
Shakespeare’s work has appeared in moves and songs as well. According to Erin Whitney’s site, 16 movies you didn’t know were based on Shakespeare. Shakespeare’s work has been adapted into movies and songs since the early days of cinema. Shakespeare had such influential writings that many other authors have used or modified it to create a new set or two to retell his unique ideas. Since Shakespeare’s days as an early play writer, his ideas have been in movies by other authors. “Shakespeare has inspired nearly every genre with stories that have given away to variety interpretations. (Para. 2) Many authors have been inspired to use Shakespeare’s work to create a whole new story. Other authors have memorized Shakespeare’s ideas into children’s books and movies. Many authors of movies and song writer’s love used Shakespeare’s ideas to create their own versions of his work.
Shakespeare was a powerful and positive influence in American culture and he had written plays, songs, and literature in the 1600’s. In conclusion, this is how Shakespeare has shown up in education, with a high social profile and now he has been brought up in movies and songs. Shakespeare should show up more in American culture literature. There has been too big of an impact not to be more involved in our literature.
