Description of organization
Hamilton Telecommunications® is a diversified telecommunications service provider established in 1901 as a small regional telephone company. They are headquartered in Aurora, Nebraska. Hamilton was incorporated as Hamilton County Farmers Telephone Association, a farmer's cooperative. Calls were first made by switchboard operators who worked out of their homes.
A lot has changed in the past 113 years in business as the company added a lot to their services over that time. Hamilton Telecommunications has grown to not only provide local telephone service and relay services, but also to provide internet service, information systems, call center services, long distance, and cable television for its customers. Since their establishment, the company has added many of separate divisions for different types of services that are provided. The most notable division and the one that provided the most success in recent years is the Hamilton Relay service.
