Potters’ wheel is also known as ‘potter’s lathe’ which is a kind of machine used for different shaping process, turning, similar to that used for shaping metals or wooden articles. The jiggering and jellying is an extension method of in jiggering where a shaped tool is slowly brought down unto plastic clay body which has been placed on top of a rotating plaster mould, This jigger tool shapes one face, the mould the other. This is commonly used in shaping flat ware, like plates while jellying method is used for the production of hollow ware, such as cups.
