Prije svega, dati ćemo definiciju tradicionalne trgovine kako bi približili naš projekat. Trgovina u pravom smislu predstavlja razmjenu između dvije strane tj. sa jedne strane pojavljuju se proizvođači sa svojim proizvodima ili uslugama, a sa druge strane to su krajnji potrošači ili kupci. Pod širim pojmom se podrazumijevaju i posrednici koji se mogu nazivati ponuđači jer u suštini ne moraju uvijek ponuđači biti i proizvođači, kao što ni kupci ne moraju uvijek biti krajnji potrošači.

Svaki registrovani korisnik portala Facebook može napraviti privatni profil ili službenu stranicu koja će biti namjenjena elektronskoj trgovini. Ukoliko otvaramo profil, obično se koristi ime koje će simbolizirati prodaju ili narudžbu da bi što više korisnika istog portala moglo vidjeti fotografije, informacije, cijene i detaljan opis o proizvodi i kako doći do njega. Da bi nam bile dostupne sve te ingormacije, potrebno je poslati zahtjev za prijateljstvo određenom kosiniku koji se bavi online trgovinom.
Ukoliko pak postoji stranica koja se odnosi na elektronsku trgovinu, tada je veća vjerovatnoća da će postojati veći broj korinika koji će moći pratiti dešavanja, objave, fotografije i sve informacije o proizvodima koji se prodaju putem interneta, jer je potrebno samo kliknuti na opciju „Sviđa mi se“.
Mi ćemo obrađivati temu na koji način kreirati stranicu koja će služiti u svrhu elektronske trgovine, gdje ćemo redovno ažurirati informacije o svim dostupnim sadržajima, promjenama koje se mogu odnositi na cijene, zatim opisu prikazanih proizvoda i slično.
