Nowadays, we are living in a world that technology has become one of the most important parts of our lives. We are always hearing about social networks, search engines, clouds, etc. These tools are very useful and we use them to make our everyday living easier. But sometimes we hear that this tool that we use, are being used by the government as a way to extract information from the people; their justification is that they are going into people´s privacy to assure the safety of the countries. Of course the people should not be reading books written by Hitler, but sometimes the people do it as a way to study criminal minds and there is nothing wrong about it. If the government wants to avoid violence, they should start by not publishing all over the news only violence and crime.

A citizen deserves his or her privacy above the needs of everyone else's safety. Privacy is a personal privilege that should be given to every citizen. It’s what makes the Land of the Free what it claims to be. If citizens give up their privacy for protection, who’s to say that the ones protecting them will keep them safe. Once your privacy has been invaded, you’re not safe anymore.
