A mobile phone is a device that can make communications easier. It can carry messages from person A to person B. A mobile phone is also known as cellular phone, cell phone, and hand phone. They are connected to a cellular network which is provided by a mobile phone operator, and can access to the public telephone network. When a mobile phone is used then many types of reactions take place, different types of waves are released, for example heat wave, sound wave, micro-wave, and radio wave. While the waves are given off by the mobile phones, radiations are released at the same time. Radiation is energy that comes from a source and travels through matter or free space. Radiation falls under ...view middle of the document...
It is the same kind of wavy disturbance that repeats itself over a distance which is called wavelength. Wavelengths are the distance that is between the crests of a wave. This raises the question 'Are mobile phones dangerous or not'? The question that most of the scientist want to answer. Debates on whether mobile phones are dangerous to use or not is still going on. There are many negatives for using a mobile phone, different types of reactions occur which can damage the body, but a mobile phone also has several positives. Messages are conveyed through mobile phones, communications are much more easier compared to the olden days. Mobile phones which are used in this generation are much more advanced, people can browse through internet, take pictures, and while talking on mobile phones they can see each other’s photo. It has made life easier but is it safe?

When a person is using a mobile phone for example sends a message, or is talking to someone then a variety of reactions are taking place such as waves and radiations are released. Waves are divided into two main parts which are mechanical wave and electromagnetic wave. Electromagnetic wave is capable of transmitting its energy through empty space. Its waves are created by vibration of an electric charge. Another type of reaction that takes place is electromagnetic radiation. Electromagnetic radiation is a form of energy that arises when electric charges are accelerated. Electromagnetic radiation is used to describe the different types of waves which are released from different types of objects for example radio-wave, TV-wave, heat, light, ultraviolet light, x-rays, micro-waves, and gamma rays. The different types of waves do different jobs for example light-waves help the human eye to see objects, while the heat-wave makes the molecules move around and warm up the substance, x-rays are able to pass through a human body and it allows us to see the inside of a body. An example that cell phones are dangerous is Neil Whitfield, who suffered terrible headaches. “Then my hearing got worse and I kept forgetting things”. An examination revealed that he had neuroma, a brain tumour that grows on a nerve in the brain near the ear due to extra usage of cell phones.
Dr. Carlo, an epidemiologist and medical scientist, started the first telecommunications industry-backed studies into the dangers of cell phone use in 1993 to 1999. A program that remains largest in history of the issue, but he had difficulty in that industry that hired him when his work revealed unnecessary hazards linked with cell phone use. Dr. Carlo long ago battled to bring the truth about cell phones being dangerous for people to use, but the industry’s campaign dishonoured him and the other scientist in the same field.
A mobile phone sends and receives information by radio frequency. They are transmitted to the nearest base station and outgoing signals are sent from the base station to the phone at a different frequency. Most of...
