PepsiAmericas una din cele mai importante companii producatoare de bauturi racoritaoare, cotata in top Fortune 500 este reprezentata in Romania. PepsiAmericas este imbuteliatorul autorizat si distribuitorul Pepsi, Prigat, Lipton Ice Tea, Gatorade, Roua Muntilor si Talea pentru Romania si Republica Moldova.

PepsiAmericas inseamna o echipa de peste 14000 de angajati orientati inspre un singur scop: sa fie cei mai buni furnizori de bauturi racoritare si brand-uri cunoscute pentru clienti. Cu un portofoliu extins de produse: bauturi racoritoare, sucuri, apa, siropuri si bauturi speciale, PepsiAmericas detine varietatea si serviciile necesare pentru a concura in fiecare piata deservita de la nivel international. PepsiAmericas, una dintre cele mai importante companii producatoare de bauturi racoritoare la nivel mondial, a inaugurat pe 1 septembrie o fabrica in Dragomiresti, judetul Ilfov, in urma unei investitii in valoare de 85 milioane de dolari. Aceasta este prima faza a proiectului, unitatea urmand a fi finalizata in anul 2011 dupa o investitie totala de 150 milioane de dolari.

Prima faza a proiectului a constat in construirea cladirii, care ocupa 30.000 metri patrati din terenul cu o suprafata de 80.000 metri patrati detinut de companie, instalarea unei linii aseptice de imbuteliere si inceperea productiei de ceaiuri. La momentul finalizarii, fabrica va avea sase linii de productie, capacitatea de productie urmand sa creasca de la 15 milioane de baxuri anual cat este in prezent, la 65 de milioane de baxuri anual.

Fabrica din Dragomiresti are in prezent circa 70 de angajati, insa numarul acestora va ajunge la 300 la finalizarea proiectului.

Unitatea va produce toata gama de produse Pepsi, Lipton si Prigat, acestea fiind destinate pietei din Romania.

PepsiAmericas mai detine doua unitati de productie in Romania, la Covasna, unde se imbuteliaza apa minerala, si in Bucuresti.

In luna mai 2009, PepsiAmericas a finalizat o investitie de aproximativ zece milioane de dolari pentru modernizarea si marirea capacitatii liniei de productie pentru apa minerala Roua Muntilor din fabrica de la Covasna.

Compania PepsiAmericas a preluat in 2007 Quadrant Amroq Beverages (QAB), imbuteliatorul autorizat si distribuitor al marcilor Pepsi, Pepsi Max, Pepsi Light, Mountain Dew, Mirinda, 7up, Prigat, Lipton Ice Tea, Gatorade si Roua Muntilor pentru Romania si Republica Moldova.

Principalele companii de pe piata autohtona a bauturilor racoritoare sunt PepsiAmericas, Coca-Cola, European Drinks si Romaqua.
