AbstractThis essay is about the responsibilities of information technology consultant to the clients and to the society. Firstly, the essay tells what information technology is and how big differences did technology change and improve from ages to nowadays. Secondly, it states what information technology consultant can do and what they cannot do. They have a wide range of skills but there is four core functions that they mainly responsible for which is Clients Support, Data Administration and Support, Site System Maintenance, Multimedia Origination. Finally, it demonstrates the awareness of the professional aspects of computing and specific problems facing information technology professionals. There are three kinds of issues: (1) Ethical issue which is relating to morals, especially as concerning human conduct. (2) Legal issue which mainly discusses about Hacking and Frauds. (3) Technical issue which mainly discusses about virus and spy ware. Finally, there is a summary and my view on the future technology.BackgroundA job should be enjoyable, even exciting. Why bother working in an environment in which you do not feel comfortable and receive gratification from doing your job? Working as an information technology (IT) consultant can be enjoyable and rewarding. As the computing world becomes more complex there is a growing need for consultants while allowing wide latitude for independent initiative. Thus the job of IT consultant is as varied as the modern computing landscape.What is Information Technology?Information technology is a broad subject concerned with technology and other aspects of managing and processing information, especially in large organizations. In particular, IT deals with the use of electronic computers and computer software to convert, store, protect, process, transmit, and retrieve information. It has developed through the years and this has also had an impact on modern society. The technological advancements are changing human kind forever. IT development has improved the life style of men and women all around the world. Efficiency and speed, of work and leisure is now at its highest level. Technology will keep on developing and at the same time life is going to be improved. We can send an email to our friends even though we are not in same countries. It may take only one minute to do so but it might take one week to mail a letter to another country before the technology was developed. We can see and talk to our friends around the world with free of charge by using the internet but on the other hand it made people become less face to face contact. People tend to spend much more time on computer and ignore other activities like watching television or hanging out with friends.
