PROS AND CONS OF PROSTITUTION

The legalization of prostitution is a very debatable subject. Many feel it would be a wise decision to legalize it for the reasons that it may make it safer and easier to control, but at the same time there are numerous people who are against the legalization. In many other countries as The Netherlands, prostitution is legal, and it seems it is very well taken care of. Also in some cities like Las Vegas it is legal. But just because some thing is legal does not make it morally right or safe.
Some reasons prostitution should be kept illegal are: Men (or woman) are taking advantage of the prostitute and they often show no respect for that person. This can lead to serious mental problems in the future. If a prostitute has had a serious trauma happen to them, this could bring up bad memories, and reaction could end up in a severe spasms. Also prostitution is just not 100% safe however you look at it. There are many STD's floating all over the place, including AIDS, which is the deadliest disease of them all. You can not run from AIDS and having sex with many different partners who you don't know can be very dangerous. If some one hires a prostitute they may not care what happens to them after its over. Also many young women feel that prostitution is an appropriate job to support them selves and may quite their education at an early age. This we know is an unwise decision, because to have a respectable career you need an education. Another reason prostitution is not good to have around is because of the Pimps who "take care" of the prostitutes. These Pimps often beat, abuse or kill the prostitute...
