In general, the objective of this study is to report and describe make use MediaWiki and Google Docs at the undergraduate level as an online collaboration tool for co-constructing knowledge in project work groups. In particular, there are three objectives in this study are:
o To evaluate if MediaWiki was perceived as an effective online collaboration tool.
o To evaluate if Google Docs was perceived as an online collaboration tools.
o To compare the perceived effectiveness of MediaWiki and Google Docs.

Generally the topic area of this article focuses on the use of MediaWiki and Google Docs at the undergraduate level as online collaboration tools for co-constructing with knowledge in project work groups.
The scope audience of this article is focusing more to an adult as it contain an information that include a specific technical term which not appropriate of the children’s reading and difficult to the understand. This article more focusing to an the information professionals such as information specialists, information scientists, librarians, record directors, researchers, lecturers, author, teachers and others that have interest in the knowledge management.
1.3 BRIEF SUMMARY
A large amount of research has recently been discussing about the features of a wiki as a shared device fits well with the processes associated with collaborative learning and knowledge management. However, the use of Google Docs in an academic environment is still largely unexplored in the literature although the features of MediaWiki and Google Docs collaboration are relatively comparable.
This research is essentially to report and describe the use of MediaWiki and Google Docs at the undergraduate level as an online collaboration tool for co- constructing knowledge in project work groups. This platform gives teachers for monitoring student progress, and provides feedback to assist in the effective management of the written report.
Through this study, it will be useful for educators to investigate how these two newly developed collaboration tools can facilitate the learning of students, and to determine their suitability for use in education. In addition, the different online communication tools can extend the reach and enable teamwork and collaboration.
