Personal Learning Styles
Whether it is verbal or nonverbal, communication is used in everyday life. It is a tool that everyone uses on a daily bases. After completing the Personality Spectrum Assessment, and the Multiply Pathway to Learning, different learning styles and personality types have been observed within my group. In this paper, I will be identifying three personality types and three learning styles and how they can be used to communicate in a group.
Based on the other team members in my group, I decided to use their results for my examples. First, I will discuss the different learning styles, which are Naturalistic, Logical, and Intrapersonal. The Naturalistic learner has an appreciation of the balance of nature and also forms study groups with people who have similar interests. The Logical learner uses logic and problem solving. The Intrapersonal learner can adapt to any learning style as long as he or she set realistic goals, and maps out plans to achieve them.
The best strategy for effective communication and collaboration within a group like this is having the Naturalistic learner provide an understanding of the environment and stress relief. Naturalist's' may be even more beneficial in watching the whole picture and keeping the group on track. The Logical learner is best at dealing with facts and problem solving within the group. Letting him or her pull information out and examine it then present back to the group the facts and findings, this can be a benefit to the group. Last but not least the Intrapersonal leaner can adapt to any situation as long as there are goals. Intrapersonal learners help with the group cohesion...
