Life Goals Essay

1524 words - 6 pages

Research a life goal
Although I have many goals in life, two stick out to me the most. They stick out in every decision I make and they help me form good decisions. What I want most importantly in life is to become a pharmacist and to create a family with someone I love. I want the family most importantly because I was raised in a very tight Greek family. I want to raise my kids in that tight Greek family as well. Becoming a pharmacist is also a very important goal because I want stability in my job so that I can raise my family without major money issues. I also think it is very important for people to be healthy so that job would allow me to provide health care.
Becoming a pharmacist would allow me to have stability and flexibility in the future with my life, which will be important when I am older. My goal to become a pharmacist will be much tougher than other careers, but its rewards are much bigger. Since I have always shown interest in helping people, this career will be perfect because I can advise patients on medications to better their health. To become a pharmacist, I first need to pass the first two years of my pre-pharmacy work here at STLCOP. This will allow me to advance to the professional classes. Once I am able to pass my 6-year classes, I must take a license exam to obtain my pharmacy license ( Pharmacists have very good job outlooks because they make a high salary with many benefits ( I must work very hard in school to become this because it will not be easy. I need to become a pharmacist because I am not interested in anything else besides health careers. I want to help people with their health, and I have wanted to do this since I was a child. I want to work in a clinical setting because they make the most money and jobs are available closer to home than a hospital is. I know that everything I do will require a lot of work so I might as well work for something that interests me. I know that this career has many benefits so I need to make sure I can keep myself oriented on my goal.
Starting a family is the most important to me. Without family, I would not be the person I am today. Family will always be there no matter what you do. Therefore, a strong family is a necessity to me because it will provide comfort and guide me through my life. To start my family I will have to set a plan with my future husband as to both of our goals. I would want my children to become religious, active, and obtain good grades. I can combine these with my husband’s to establish an efficient way of raising our children. Doing research on safe places to raise a family is important as well, because location affects the quality of life my children will have. According to Today, Virginia Beach and Billings, Montana are good places because they high a high quality of life with high test scores. This will be important to raise kids in a safe environment so that they can avoid trouble. Although I might not want to live in these...
