Marijuana is a plant containing a psychoactive chemical, THC are in its leaves, buds, and flowers. It has been shown that marijuana helps cancer, chemotheraps, AIDS, HIV, glocoma, muscle spasticity, and neurological disorders (www.drugpolicy.org). Medical use of marijuana should be allowed because it is not as addictive as pain medications, it helps with pain and stress, and it helps chronic illnesses.
Medical marijuana is good for people cause it is not as addictive as pain medications. Marijuana is grown in nature, not created in a lab like most drugs. People can’t overdose on marijuana but marijuana has harmful effects that can’t be proven. Marijuana might have harmful but it is good for pain, stress, helps with chronic illnesses and lot more. A chronic cough and increased risk of bronchitis and other lung infections can be caused be smoking marijuana. Marijuana can also interfere with learning, memory, affect driving, make some people anxious, paranoid, and can lead to addiction. The FDA has to approval drugs for everbody. Marijuana is not medical doctors can not tell how many doses to get to a patients for ever day. If a drug doesn’t meet FDA standards, it will not be approved and can’t be prescribed or sold as medicine in the United States. Why marijuana is not medicine it helps to understand how medication is approved by the FDA.
