Mark Twain was one of the greatest writers ever, using his style he made two of the most influential books ever. He has been through a lot and has succeeded anybodies expectations. He has been from job to job and has always been around writing. To be an author was all he wanted to be and he did not let anything stop him. The way he wrote was different, nobody had every seen that style before.
Samuel Langhorne Clemens or more commonly known as Mark Twain was one of the best authors ever. He was an American author and humorist. He was born on November 30 1835 in Florida ,Missouri. He died on April 21,1910 in Redding, Connecticut. The reason Mark Twain was so well known was because of his two most famous books, The Adventure of Tom Sawyer and its sequel The Adventure of Huckleberry Fin. He began becoming a writer at a young age when he got an apprenticeship with a printer and started putting little pieces of literature together and eventually just fell in love with it. After his long years of amazing pieces of literature and some of the most popular books to date his legacy ended after he had a heart attack. One of his famous quotes was “Go to heaven for the climate, Hell for the company.”-Mark Twain.
Mark Twain wasn't a very successful man at first. He went from job to job starting off as an apprenticeship for a typesetter. After his apprentice ship he became a riverboat pilot. Then he moved to Nevada and tried to become a miner. He then realized he was a horrible miner and would always make jokes about it. Then he turned to becoming an author after he realized he was a horrible miner, being a humorist he knew that by writing he could interest people by making them laugh while also informing them. His first story was published in 1865, called the Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County. This short story brought a lot of attention to the author Mark Twain. Mark Twain was a very successful but invested a lot of his money in a machine called the paige compositor but it failed because of its complexity and imprecision. Which made him file bankruptcy, eventually he overcame bankruptcy and paid all his creditors in full.
After Mark got his name out there and got a reputation for being a good writer that is when his real success came. He made his best creation ever. The Adventure of Tom Sawyer which was easily his most famous book he made in his lifetime. He used his hometown as a setting for the dramatic book.
