Online shopping is more and more popular both among the consumers and suppliers because of its distinctive advantages, which is convenient, economical and accessible. The E-commence opened up for new possibilities for brands to expand their scale at low fixed cost while customers are also accepting this change brought by the technology. Since the internet is increasingly accessible to people all over the world, according to internet World Stats, online retail channels will keep expanding at a surprisingly fast pac. In the United States, the number of online retail sector has grown by 16.2% in 2012 to reach a value of $200.4billion. The US online retail sector has experienced strong, double digit growth in since 2010. Strong growth is predicted to continue at a decelerating pace to the end of the forecast period in 2016. The US online retail sector had total revenues of $172.5 billion in 2011, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8% between 2007 and 2011. Among that, only 9.2% of people bought apparel, accessories and footwear from the Internet, far less than for 20.2% books and 21.9% for consumer electronics. Of those who don't buy clothes online, 72% say they're afraid they won't get a good fit, according to market research firm YouGov. Our product---virtual try-it-on---targets on fixing this problem. In the meanwhile, we also build this app to help improving personalized online shopping experience for customers. We believe, with the prevalence of smart-phone and tablets, the trends of future shopping would surely shift from traditional stores to website stores. In the US apparel retail industry, the women' wear segment is expected to be the industry's most lucrative in 2012. From these statistics, we can see a bright future in garment online retail industry, comparing with the traditional 'bricks and mortar' shopping style.
