Introduction & Problem Statement
Norma’s Gym is a small-minority-woman owned fitness studio in Farifax, VA. The studio serves mostly female clients aged 22-40, and a large majority of her clients have children. Currently Norma provides service to clients either in her home studio or in the clients own home. The fitness studio provides a child-care arrangement for clients when on-site, the capacity is limited to 1 client and 1 child.
Norma’s Gym is releasing this Request for proposal (RFP) for the design, approval, and build, and outfit of a new physical location. Norma’s Gym is seeking to expand their capacity to receive clients to a physical location and attend to up to 4 clients at a time.
Norma’s Gym fully expects suppliers to provide a comprehensive solution that meets or exceeds all requirements as stated in this RFP. Norma’s Gym expects suppliers to demonstrate their international management capabilities and to assume responsibility for all requirements in the RFP. Norma’s Gym expects a single supplier to assume full “General Contractor” responsibility for the design, installation, and maintenance of the proposed system. While subcontracting is permissible, once firm shall be the prime contractor on the contract.
The supplier selected shall be solely responsible for contractual performance and management of all subcontract relationships. This contract allows subcontracting assignments; however, suppliers assume all responsibility for work quality, delivery, installation, maintenance, and any supporting services required by a subcontractor.
Norma will allow written requests for clarification of the RFP. All questions will be consolidated into a single set of response and emailed by 12:00 PM each Friday. Suppliers names will be removed from questions in the responses. Quesitons should be submitted in the following format. Deviations from this format will not be accepted.
