The Milgram Experiment has acquired wide popularity and spread among scientists and psychologist who have expressed their doubts concerning its results. The main essence of the experience consisted in checking the way the participant obeyed to authority although they have to do harm to other participants. Hence, the person who controlled the experiment told the subject of the experiment to check memory of another volunteer on the way he/she can remember the pair of words. At the very beginning of the experiment, Milgram’s explanations of the experiment proves that people were under the pressure of the experiment, which itself reminds of an artificial situation. Therefore, some of the volunteers did not have a full awareness of what the experiment is about. In fact, the very understanding of the conception of the experiment could become the cornerstone that prevented the individuals to stop the experiment. Hence, due to the fact that the volunteers were only under psychological pressure because the Experimenter was to constantly persuade the participant that the experiment is impossible to stop. It also proofs that psychology is a powerful instruments that encourages and motivations people to actions. It is also a strong and persuasive force for manipulating and exploiting individual, which is also presented in the Milgram experiment. Due to the fact that psychology fails to bring in the analysis, it cannot be considered to be a science because of lack of certain frameworks and rules.
Due to the fact that the person engaged into the experiment was not aware of the individualized psychological interaction, Milgram should have introduced the participant to the psychological self-evaluation. Milgram’s social engineering, therefore, is a self-enactment because experiment closely relates to social psychology that provides an insight into paradigms by imposing academic and psychological perspectives.
The very essence of the experiment was not a scientific commitment because the priority was given to psy-sciences that enact the procedure. The entire process is determined by transitional context that is put on doubt by the scientists himself. During the experiment, the investigator is alleged to be interested in defining how the learner’s rate of knowledge is influenced by the punishment. However, teachers do not have potential grounds for carrying out punishment, except for the insisting requirements of the investigator. Therefore, the credibility of the experiment could not be explained by the fact that volunteer teachers should not necessarily to participate in the experiment. However, the ambiguity occurs when it comes to the discourse theories that relates to the role of subject positions in discourse. In this context, Milgram experiment is understandable because the task of the teacher to make use of different methods that can enhance the learning abilities of their students. From the psychological perspective, the Milgram’s experimental question introduces a new outlook on psychology, with the emphasis placed on learning psychology. It is crucial, therefore, to assert that the role of psychologist is to understand how educational and teaching perspectives influence the course of the experiment.
