When I begun this module First of all I wanted to learn about the Marketing as this was my first time when I have encountered Marketing in my education. Before my first lecture I knew about marketing that one of his major role is to promote products or service and sell them to the people. When I read the Module handbook I notice assessments, which required group work and presentation, so one of my major goal was to learn how to work effectively in the team and as well as I wanted to learn how to be confident during presentations because I have never felt confident to speak in the public.
I want to demonstrate what I have learned from the lectures during weeks 20, 21 and 22.
The company if wants to develop and grow has to go global and this company cannot operate only in one country but in many countries. Organization having opportunities in foreign market like attractiveness for their product or service should go implement them into this market. There are some issues to be consider before entering the market, the issues like consumption, distribution, competition. The company will use marketing mix (Place, Price, Promotion, Product) to enter the market. Marketing mix implication required to look at the other issues. For example people, organization have to know what kind of training employs will need, how much they will be have to pay, this issue is very important for service. Another concern are Political factors which may affect business, Economical which are very vital for company, some kind of situations like economical crises etc. Social factors are very important as well, facts like culture differences etc.. And the last issues to concern is technology. Organization has to know in what level they may develop. (Jobber, 2010)
From the lecture about social and green marketing I have learnt that marketing has been criticized.
Many companies have been accused of unethical behaviour. Accusations like Poor product quality, promotion was called as an aggressive and having negative impact on people.
Advertising result in being offensive and deceptive. Monopoly leads to pollution of natural environment. Mass production cause emission of carbon dioxide and used product are becoming wastes which litter the earth. This accusations may cause that company may end up far from reaching and exceeding customer values, so if company wants to success they have to take some actions. Environmental issues should be part of planning. Consumers have to be more active in marketing activities. Company should promote green products.
From the lecture 22 I have learnt that good marketing mix is not enough for company to be successful but correct implication of marketing mix will be successful. Implication require plan but there are always uncertainties therefore it is vital to maintain flexibility...
