My College Essay

834 words - 4 pages

There was nothing worse than being ripped away from everything you knew. Suddenly being forced into an environment where you become the “fresh meat” and the outcast with no ambitions. This was me entering my freshman year of high school. Up until this point I had spent a majority of my life living in North Carolina, a place that I will always consider to be my home. Once I reached my fifth period class, Spanish 1, I met somebody who was just like me. Jiyoung was a girl from Korea who naturally had the same fears as me. We went to lunch together and ended up having gym together. As the year went on we made friends with 2 more girls, Mya and Alexis. While things are the friend side seemed to shape up well, I was still having problems with academics and health. Towards the end of my freshman year I had knee surgery for patella subluxation and a few weeks after healing from that I caught the H1N1 virus during final exams. Missing all...
