She was sitting on the couch flipping through the channels until she found the news. She had leaned back and listened to the news until she had to be ready for work. “There has been a lot of trouble in Shadow Hills lately. Just recently there has been 2 murders, 3 people missing, and 5 kidnappings, in just the past week” said the news cast lady. She slumped into the couch wondering of all the things that could happen from this point, could she possibly be the next victim, could her daughter, Shadow Hills wasn't that big of a town. At that moment her daughter had walked downstairs. She walked straight towards the kitchen to grab a glass of milk and her usual breakfast. “Hey Krystal, do you want to take the bus today, or do you want me to drive you, I don’t have to be at work until 10” she had said. I don’t think you’d even be able to handle yourself” said her daughter in a snarky attitude, which was pretty typical. “OK, I don’t deserve that attitude for trying to keep you safe!” said her yelling. “I’m sorry mom, but I can please take the bus today, I promise I will stay safe” said her daughter in an apologetic tone. “OK well I got to get to the bus stop, see you later on tonight mom” Krystal had said walking out the door. “Bye honey” she had replied back.
Since she didn't have to drive Krystal to school, well Krystal didn't want her to drive her to school, she went to go get ready. She had done her typical morning routine.
After she was done, she had looked at the clock; it was already 9 in the morning. She had walked out the door, and headed to her car and drove off to work.
“Hey Michelle, how has your morning been” asked her co-worker. “It’s been good, but I still can’t say I’m in the best of moods. “What has you done chump” said her co-worker laughing. “Well it’s just been all the murders, shootings, and kidnappings that has been happening, and all I’m...
