Students should demonstrate scholarship, leadership, service, citizenship, and character because of three reasons. One, if students demonstrate these qualities they are more likely to get better grades and get reprimanded less. Another, without these traits, a student would have far less opportunities in the future. Finally, as students grow they will gain much more wisdom if they allow themselves to work on demonstrating these characteristics. Overall, these qualities are very important in the present, and in the future.

To get into Harvard or Yale it is highly recommended to do public service. In our daily lives too, everyone should do service just to help out in our community. Also, schools look for leadership skills in their candidates. If a candidate has no leadership skills, in most fields of work, that is a setback and can keep a student from going to a good school. Furthermore, without scholarship a student would not be as educated as possible; students must be erudite to be able to exceed in their future profession as much as possible. Lastly, citizenship is vital to living as a proactive young adult. Citizenship is very important as it enables people to make their own decisions and to take responsibility for their own lives in their communities. In all, a future without these traits will not be as plentiful as one without them.
Finally, as students grow they will gain much more wisdom if they allow themselves to work on demonstrating these characteristics. If a young adult strives to be a scholar, leader, productive citizen, and have character in the time to come the student will become an ideal human being, and live a full and knowledgeable life. Without recognizing the potential that students have in being amazing, they will get idle and dull. If they do recognize this, they will become strong thinkers and vibrant minded. If you are an active citizen, trying to make your community a better place will open your mind to other issues.
