"(AANP) These are of the many examples that have been cured by using a natural healing approach. There is a natural approach why are not all the doctors using it? "A licensed naturopathic physician (ND) attends a four-year, graduate-level naturopathic medical school and is educated in all of the same basic sciences as an MD, but also studies holistic and nontoxic approaches to therapy with a strong emphasis on disease prevention and optimizing wellness. In addition to a standard medical curriculum, the naturopathic physician also studies clinical nutrition, homeopathic medicine, botanical medicine, psychology, and counseling."(AANP) No wonder the medical doctors Americans seek help from do not recommend a natural solution they did not study nutrition and what it can do for the body. The two main focuses in naturopathy "one is supporting the body's own healing abilities, and the other is empowering people to make lifestyle changes necessary for the best possible health"(Naturopathy). As said before the body is amazing and has the abilities to heal itself from sickness with the proper treatments. Some treatment methods used by a "naturopath include nutritional counseling, herbal medicine, acupuncture, detoxification, spirituality, and hydrotherapy"(Naturopathy). There are other treatment methods used as well but the main goal is to not just treat the specific illness but to treat an individual as a whole giving them a healthy lifestyle. Americans that have this life style and maintain it are less likely to become ill or if they do they find a natural solution. A study was early-released online April 7, 2014 by the Canadian Medical Association Journal in advance of publication in a future issue reporting "Beans, Peas, lentils reduce bad cholesterol, heart disease risk: Scientists have found that eating just one serving daily of legumes, such as beans, chickpeas, lentils, and peas, can significantly reduce low-density lipoprotein (LDL or bad cholesterol) and the risk of heart disease."(Effect) Not only is it good for someone's body to eat healthy food but then they are getting the benefits that people are prescribed pills for from just eating healthier. Now for example eat a Big Mac where the body won't give those same nutrients not only is it unhealthy for you but making these unhealthy choices in food everyday will make for an ill individual. Once there ill now they think they are forced to go to the doctor to find the pill to solve the problem. When that is not the case, there are doctors out there like Naturopathic physicians who have proven having a nutritional diet is the answer. In society today people constantly see how medications are taking over bodies some people can be prescribed to ten different pills and still not find the outcome they hoped for. How could someone choose not to be healthy still when its told to Americans in many ways how food is the natural cure.
Of course there is always opposition to everything in life, and health...
