PART 1 - CASE STUDY
Nicola Evershed is a young entrepreneur who wished to be self-employed and create a mark

being an entrepreneur. She had studied sculpture from an art college and later did her

engineering. She understood less about finance and operations. Her father was a true

businessperson and understood the basic functions of operating it efficiently.

Nicola studied the market gravely and entered after analyzing the demand and market

scenario. She was associated to art and soon realised her area of interest. The change in

government policies led her to enter the market of manufacturing frames.

Earlier, she had thoroughly researched the market and had realised the problems faced by her

prospective consumers. She made their problems her Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Those

days, customers for frames did not pay much heed to the framing job therefore ending up

ordering at the last moment. Nicole realized this and hence kept stock of frames with attractive

styles ready with her. She focused on customer service to grab orders from clients. Her

competitors at that moment were manufacturing a single pattern of frames. She was creative

and hence produced new fresh variety of designs hence attracting more and more customers.

Her business flourished soon as she was meeting the customer demands on time.
