Over time many people have heard the phrase, "you are what you eat." What many people now wonder though, is are you really? When you look around at the world you see all kinds of different body types; curvy, skinny, chunky, chubby. Obesity is it just eating habits or are there many other reasons? Obesity is the health topic of choice these days because obesity in America is a growing epidemic. Obesity is not the greatest thing for your body. There are many points of obesity to cover like, child hood obesity, eating habits, disease, genetics, and many others. A big problem, somewhat resulting in obesity is “Fast Food”.
Fast food is resulting in obesity because it unhealthy and the reason people still eat it.
Fast food is not the healthiest food because of all the fats, grease, sugars, and calories in the food.
For example a big Mac from McDonalds, serving size is 7oz, around 500 calories, 250calories from fat, and 9grams of sugar. The question is why do people still eat fast food when they know it’s unhealthy? People still eat the food because it’s a lot more convenient if you’re on the go, or if you’re out late and don’t want to go home and cook. Another reason people still eat fast food is because some times its cheaper than going home and eating, some people can’t afford to eat at home.Some people say that being obese isn’t their fault well is it?
People claiming that obesity is not their fault. They claim it’s not their fault because they were raised with bad eating habits. People can’t help the fact that their parents didn’t feed them health and let them get overweight as a child. Being overweight as a child can result into them not being able to lose that weight when they are older. Other people blame their genetics for being overweight. Specialists have proven that genetics barley have anything to do with it. They also say that they are big “Boned”, that’s another fact that was proven wrong
