1. Why is organization structure important?

Organization structure is important in any companies no matter in any field because it is important in business process. These structures can be formed in any different sizes and ways. Organization structure is important in connect all the people in a company together. In an organization some of the departments have to depend on other department instruction to do work. For example, the culinary department in a hotel depends on purchasing department to get their ingredients for cooking. They have to cooperate with each others to strive for the goal and target. These can up rise the discipline of the workers and quality of the organization will have improvement. A tall organization has a structure of position which is from high to low. The higher your education, the higher the position you hold in tall organization. There are many management level in tall organization, the higher position people such as a manager has the power for decision making. The people or workers that hold a lower position have to listen instruction of a manager which hold higher position in that particular area.A manager conduct the activities running and the people have to follow his or her instruction to make the program carry out successfully. The sub base staffs have no power in decision making and also have to follow instructions. Only a few people report directly to a manager in each of the management level. In tall organization there must have a long term plan done by the manager to ensure the company earn profit.

Flat organization is a medium and easy to handle organization because it only consist of a few management levels. There is no middle manager that connect between the senior staff and subbase. In flat organization ,one manager control all the workers in a company. Flat organization is giving opportunity to the employees to give ideas or even make decision on their own in particular area only. This may train the employees to be more independence and will finish work on their own. When the employees when for a meeting with other company staff ,they may give ideas and have a effective communication skills. It brings many benefits and a good images of the company. In flat organization a huge group of workers have to report to one manager in each of the management level. These may causes mistakes because too much information is reported to the same person. Besides that, a manager will take such a long time to finish checking all the reports. In flat organization, a company will pay less because there is only a few managers in each company. The discipline among the workers is not easy to build because too many worker is under one manager control.

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of work specialization?

The advantages of work specialization are can improve the development skills of employees. Through work specialization, the employees have to do research themselves and finish the task given. They will be more independent in doing their task. Work specialization can shorten time taken to finish work. It is also the combination of ideas from different people and will increase the productivity. The repeating of work specialization may increase the skills of employees in handle the task given. Further, work specialization can save cost of the product without repeating the same task. The disadvantages of work specialization are task become more easy for people because it is divided into many stages. They just have to in charge of their own task.
