Parental guidance.
You hear it all the time in our world, “Be safe online, don’t go online without a parents permission, and internet safety.” We hear this on a daily basis, it’s the world we live in now. Younger kids are on social media, Like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, and so many more sites, according to an online poll [www.statisticbrain.com/social-networking-statistics], 58% of people have some form of social interaction online. and 73% of teens have social media. Now wouldn’t you like to think, in a perfect world, that no matter what, you wouldn’t need to worry about a teen online. We would all like that, but it’s not a reality, in our reality the internet is dangerous and adults should make sure children are safe online. But they don’t need to sit right on their shoulder like a pirates bird. Teens will grow up fast and will make mistakes. Everyone knows it, so why would you want to keep them from the mistake? Yes it helps them never experienced it, but then if it happens with their kid they won’t know what to do, seeing how they never had that happen to them before. adults should at least tell kids how to handle a situation online, so the their child can prevent it themselves.
How many adult’s trust their kid, in general? I hope many do, of course you’re worried for your child, but you can be reassured that the internet dose try to keep teens and kids safe. You can trust your son or daughter, just make sure you take extra steps to make sure that you can always trust them and know that they are safe.
