Many parents expect the bare minimum out of their
children. The children have no responsibilities around the
house, which leave time for them to create havoc elsewhere.
When children are bored is when they get into the most
trouble. Then there are the parents which give their children
to much responsibilities. To much work doesn't let a child
experience life on their own. They are still trapped under
their parents wing. To much work can be a problem when it
come to ones social life; they have none. And finally there
are the parents that startle the fence and tend to act like
pieces of the previous groups. This type of parent is the most
abundant group. They give their children chores, but not to
much. So it doesn't affect their social life.
Many teenagers are lazy. If it was up to them, they
would do no work and party night and day. This
characteristic can only be traced back to their parents,
because they are lazy themselves. Most teenagers would say
they wish they could come and go as they please from their
house and have nothing expected out of them. There is a
small group of parents that expect no work out of their
children. They believe in the philosophy; "If you want things
done right, then you have to do it yourself." These parents
clean the kids rooms for them, clean their dishes, and even
pack their teenagers lunch for school. All of these chores
should be expected out of the children just for living in the
house. But yet some colleges students don't know how to do
their own laundry, because mom did it back home. A child
who has no responsibilities around the house had little
respect for how nice things should stay. This is how we
develop slobs in out society. Because we shouldn't have
people cleaning up trash others throw out of their windows.
This type of parents seems like a desirable type to the
children, but has a lasting effect when they get older.
