Penelope Cruz was born in Madrid, Spain on the 28th of April in1974. She was born to a hairdresser and car mechanic and retailer. She had two siblings, Monica, an actress, and Eduardo. She also has a paternal half sister named Salma. As a child she did ballet and loved to “play act” with her friends. She did many auditions as she could but was rejected because she was too young. When she was 15 she auditioned at a talent agency and won over about 300 other girls.
