NATURAL SCIENCE? HUMANITIES? SPORT? ART? All of them! Obsessive desire for new challenges, skills and experiences powered me in accumulating different knowledge that offers me a wide range of possibilities. Animal studies in Scotland depict my mature decision for the most difficult and challenging choice among my broad interests.
_Inspired by my affection to IBD Biology and by Darwin’s book “On the origin of species” I decided to carry out a research on complex development of hooves of Artiodactyls. When I started I could merely imagine how I could do the research from books because manipulation with animals was prohibited but further contacting of professionals initiated my cooperation with zoologists from Zoo Bratislava and Slovak National Museum. Effect of environmental factors influencing evolution of hooves was proven by foot-prints processed in specialized photo-measuring software. Direct experience with scientific research improved my critical and analytical thinking, communication skills, time management needed to synchronize schedules with zoologists and qualities gathered from my experiences.
_Multiple high school competitions in Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Geography, Slovak and Spanish language, Debating and Human rights brought me chance to benefit from my extracurricular study exceeding the coverage of regular lessons. I have improved my speaking and presenting skills and strengthened my negotiation abilities. Achievements like the fourth place in Biology and the first place in Physics Tournament, both in Bratislava province, deepened my commitment in studying and assured me in making challenging decisions driving me forward.
_From the early childhood my parents have taught me to play all kinds of sports and I took part in contests either as competitor or organizer.
