Personal Narrative: A Day In My Life

1723 words - 7 pages

I usually wake up at around 7:00 am. My actual alarm time is at 6:30 am but I always snooze it. In the holidays, I wake up around 12 o’ clock. My friends say that I am the laziest person in the world. The first thing I hear from my mum is, “You are late”. I will then stream downstairs for breakfast. My parents always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. So I try my level best not to miss it. My mum really loves cooking, so I can have different varieties of breakfast everyday. But my favourite breakfast is cereals. It will always put me in a good mood to be in school. When breakfast is finished, everything is a rollercoaster for everyone in the family including me. My parents are late for work, my brother is also late for college and I’m usually rushing for my bus. So there is no time to say goodbye to each other.

While travelling to school, my conversations with my friends are mainly about study matters. I always think school is an amazing world where we learn things and challenge things. Everyday I arrive at school I think that I am one step closer to my ambition. My long cherished ambition is to become a doctor, GP. I chose it as a career option because I knew that there is no better job than treating people or helping people when they are in need, moreover I consider it a divine job.

Moreover I am studying GCSEs this year so things do get tough sometimes. I chose Geography, ICT and Business studies as my optional subjects. My favourite subject is Science as I am very interested and always enjoy doing practical work and learning new things. When school starts, the first thing is that I go to my tutor form for registration. According to me, registration is the most boring time as I have to sit there for 20 minutes in order to listen to our behaviour patterns and homework expectations. Then, I move to my first lesson. I am always concentrated and active on my first lessons and make good efforts and show enthusiasm in my homework so as to achieve good grades in my GCSEs.

Furthermore I took graphics as my technology option eventhough I am not a good drawer. A remarkable fact about graphics is my tutor. He is really funny and encouraging. In my opinion, he is the best artist I have ever seen. Whenever I draw a picture, he can always find a fault in it.

At breaktime, I go to the IT suite. I frequently check my emails, look up the news around the world and especially check the latest sports results. I prefer sports as a special part of my life. I always like to stay fit and healthy as possible. I am highly interested in basketball, cricket and football. Another thing, I usually watch on the computer is Formula 1. I am a great fan of team Brawn. Most of the time I miss the live race so I look up the results. At the end of breaktime, I try to clear my mind and prepare for the next lesson.
