Personal Reflection Essay

1958 words - 8 pages

For the first week, as i enter the class, i was welcome with a warm smile. Our cohort for this semester was under Mr. Ong supervision. As this is our final year, some faces does look really familiar although i do not know their names. Most of the fellow classmates are not a stranger to me because we have been in the same class for at least one subject for the past few years in Swinburne. The class started by a brief introduction to the subject; Capstone 2. Before hand, I had a few expectations towards this subject because of the information that i got from the seniors from the previous semester. However, after we found out about our industry partner, i realize that it is totally different from what’s been told. I can say that i am a little bit freak out of the fact that now, we are dealing with real clients. Then, Mr Ong started to introduce himself. i can honestly say that he has a very interesting working background. With his experience, i think we can learn a lot from him which provide us an insight guidance to make our project better. I have never been in his class before so i do not really know anything about him that much. Before i discussed further on our industry partner, i would like to share about my group member. We were divided into group according to a number assign to each person. So there was me, Sonia, Anis and Pei Her. The fifth member, Artwell joined us on the second week. The grouping was a little bit chaotic at first because there were some group of people who does not want to be separated with each other. i find this a little bit annoying because this affect all the other groups but in the end, they manage to sort things out. My group which consist of 4 person at first including myself is called ‘Monochrome’. We chose ‘Monochrome’ because although we come from different background, in the end of the day, we share one vision that is to produce satisfactory service to our clients. We are the unique shades which come from one color. ‘Monochrome’ also symbolized black and white which represent simplicity and formality. My other group member probably has their own way to describe ‘Monohrome’ but we are in this together. Moving on to our industry partner, we will be working with Astro. We have not got a chance to meet them yet this week. I do not know what to expect from them because Astro is already well established company in Malaysia. However im so excited in meeting them next week. I expect the meeting to be intense and serious since we need to cater to their problems and then come out with a proposal on how to help them. That was the thing that runs through my mind as Mr Ong continues to explain further on the things that will happen in the next 12 weeks.

In week 2, we get to meet the Astro people lead by Miss Alison Lau together with her two colleague. We were given an in depth explanation about Astro including some confidential information. Astro was established in the year 1996 and continue to go strong each year with a...
