The elements of fiction are very important as they contribute key points to the story and contain valuable information to the reader. There are seven elements of fiction and every element represents a different explanation and interpretation of what the author wants to deliver to the person reading the story. The seven elements of fiction are plot, character, setting, point of view, tone, conflict, theme, and symbol. The story “The Yellow Wallpaper” has many elements of fiction that affect the story in many ways. In my paper I will be discussing some elements that are predominant in the story. Some questions that I will be asking in my paper:
What is the significance of the yellow wallpaper and how does it connect with the element of symbolism?
The most important part of the story I believe is the yellow wallpaper and how it connects with the internal struggle of the author.
What does the setting tell us about the environment the author is in?
I believe this question is important because later in the story the author is locked in a room and the setting perfectly describes how it feels to be trapped inside a room
What conflict is being presented in the story?
This question is one of the most important questions because the author is battling with a external and internal conflict
