There are many controversies in courtrooms about whether or not should intelligent design should be taught alongside evolution in public schools, which has been going on for a great amount of years. Intelligent design is the idea of nature's changes cannot be a random process, but a type of guidance must have lead to why nature is the way it is in today’s era. In most cases, that specific guidance is God. God has created the world for a purpose. Creationism is the same idea as intelligent design, believing that nature was created by a divine being, God. It goes against the first amendment because it allows a religion to be superior to the other, which is unfair because no one is better than anyone else. If students from different aspects were taught that God has created their world, many will feel offended because everyone has their own perception in the creation of the world. Those same people will create new controversies of why their religion should be taught alongside evolution also, creating riots between the different perspectives. Therefore everyone rights will be violated because they are trying to establish their religion teachings in schools while being discriminated about theirs.
In addition, intelligent design has a different concept than evolution. The concept of intelligent design “is religion carefully disguised as science to get around the Constitution…” (Michael Ruse, Intelligent Design Should Be Taught in Religion Classes, Not Science). The perspective of a divine being, God, creating the world being taught in public schools systems shows that is a true statement. Students believe everything being taught in school because school is the ideal area for necessary education and being taught such knowledge will convinced them that God created the world. God creating the world is just a theory because there is no evidence of his existence.
In conclusion, having them be taught alongside will interfere with students' science knowledge because they should be taught science, where there is evidence to back up the theories to aid in reaching a better understanding on the subject. The theory of creationism was from “the movement was spearheaded by a 1961 book, The Genesis Flood…” (Eric Braun, Introduction to Creationism Versus Evolution: At Issue).
