2.8.1. Impacts of Software Product Quality on in-time Delivery
According to Wikipedia, “Software delivery is also known as software deployment at the client or customer side. It consists of interrelated activities that make a software system available for client or customer use”. 
According to Ashrafi, N. (2003)  technology has lot of advantages but software industry is still struggling to deliver software on time that play major role in the failure of software projects. Software development is a witnessed of highest rate of project failure in the word. Most projects are over budgeted, over timed and get low customer satisfaction due to poor quality of a software product. Software Quality has number of impacts on the in-time delivery of a software product. Software’s are failed to deliver on time because of the requirement management, time management, financial management, work force management and other poor management issues. Sometimes late delivery cause financial disadvantages in the form of customer dis-satisfaction and sometime overall project are closed before their delivery.

As Juran's definition infers , it is not just the customer who benefits from a focus on high quality. Businesses that value quality become more responsive and innovative, increase their competitive differentiation, and greatly reduce their total cost of development and ownership.

(2003)  technology has lot of advantages but software organizations are struggling with the challenging task of developing software applications that meet quality standards, and budget constraints. Organizations required specific amount of budget to develop software projects. This amount starts from few hundred dollars to millions of dollars and sometimes even more. Software development has very bad repute to manage the cost of the overall projects because most of the software’s are over budgeted at the end of deployment of maintenance phase.
