Activities and Products that may harm the environment
The activities and products that may be harmful to the environment for Publix stores are how the company handles food items such as seafood; the grease bin; and the trash compactors that Publix uses to dispose items. Handling seafood could be extremely harmful to the environment if the food item is not proper handle correctly. The grease bin could be harmful to the environment if the bin is not secure properly. The grease bin is located outside Publix stores and used to drop old grease, which is picked up every week on a certain day. If the grease bin is not closed securely it could cause a grease spill that could harm the environment or cause someone to hurt his or her self. The trash compactors is considered harmful to the environment also if not secure properly. If the trash compactors are not closed properly, in which someone or something can get into, for example, a homeless person can get into the trash compactors, dogs, cats, etc. that could be harmful to the environment because of the contaminated items, which are put in the trash compactors that could cause illness if someone get in contact with.
