Life can be like a puzzle when putting pieces of the history together: When times were bad in the nineteen hundreds people begin to immigrate to new parts of the world. My great grandparents immigrated from Italy in the early nineteen hundreds they had to move away from there own country to survive. Many people moved to the north part of the world as many others move to the south part. My great grandparents decided to move to the south. They choose to immigrate to the city of Chihuahua. The city was small at that time; most part of it was land. People were traveling on horses. They had to travel on horses to go the nearest general store. Most of the time they had to produce there own food. Chihuahua had good land, so people could cultivate many foods. Tomatoes, onions, cheese and many other items that were grown by the people. Technology was not as good as today, so many people didn't have money to pay for bill or telephones. So they had to learn how to write to there relatives back home. Everything had to be worked by hand. Back then they did not have many appliances,so they had to wash by hand. I don't think my daughter could have survived back in those days. She is just not able to be without a phone or without a car . My great grandparents must have had a real hard life. My grandmother would always tell me stories about on how her dad would take her horse riding and how they would meet Indians on their journey. She would say how at times that her father would fear the Indians., but at the end they would end up being friends an begin to exchange items. On many occasions my grandmother would also try to teach us Italian, but I never pay attention Spanish was easy. How convince has life been in America especially when I don't have to travel far away from it. Putting the puzzle of my life together creates many memories in my mind.
