Resarch Paper Proposal: The Box Jellyfish

As far back as I can trace my memories I remember that as a child I always liked to be in the water. Swimming pools were my absolute favorite. Wherever I went, I would always ask if there was a swimming pool. However, things changed when my parents took me to Florida for the first time. When I looked out onto the ocean my parents told me that the first words that came out of my mouth were, “Look mom, dad it’s a huge swimming pool!” I bet anyone can guess what happened next; I took off on a mad dash right into the ocean. Then, someone suggested that I pick something that has been of importance to me for a long time in my life. I still had no idea until the day our class went into the library to pick/research our topics. While trudging through the isles, thinking to myself that I did not have any idea what to do, a big, light blue book caught my eye. It was sticking out a lot farther than the others because it was so big. I looked at the title and it said, Ocean: The World’s Last Wilderness Revealed. I grabbed it and opened it up. I began flipping through the pages, when suddenly it hit me. Why don’t I do my paper on the ocean?
Unfortunately, no matter how good of any idea it was at the time or how excited I got at that very moment that maybe I had found a topic, I realized that it was way entirely too broad. I continued looking through the book when I agreed with myself that I would pick something...
