Obesity
I. Introduction
Obesity, is a disorder that involves too much body fat and unhealthy levels of a persons BMI (Body Mass Index). It is very common and there are more than 3 million recorded cases in the United States annually.
II. Signs and Symptoms
This disorder can be self-diagnosed. You don’t need to have a medical diagnosis. Anything more than 30% body fat is considered obese. Furthermore, symptoms people may witness could be pain, snoring, and the increase of other health problems.
III. Pathophysiology
The main cause of obesity is eating too much. This disease could be self-treated if the person’s diet is appropriate and proper exercise is done. It’s a chronic disease so it could last a very long time if not treated properly.
IV. Diagnosis
A medical diagnosis is not required to diagnose this disorder. Many people with obesity won't have symptoms or will only have mild symptoms. However, diagnosing obesity should be fairly simple considering the fact that obesity shows up as a visible disorder.
V. Prevention and Management
