The following proposal has been submitted for review by Riordan Manufacturing, Inc. With the current international move to Hangzhou, China and five year strategic plan to expand operations to Shanghai an upgrade to the current information systems is imperative. Careful consideration has been given to the current systems in place and consensus amongst the Team is that Riordan will greatly benefit from an upgraded Management Information System. Upon review of your growing business and the multiple functional systems currently in place, it is vital that Riordan provide its management team with the tools they will need to be successful now and into the future.

Top management can monitor the company's performance as well, comparing current statistics to those in the past. Moreover, it will help organize the business's records, thus make finding and comparing data more efficient. Greater efficiency leads to less time wasted; less time wasted leads to more productivity and higher output from the same employees. Currently, the Riordan Corporation is split between multiple departments. This type of company can sometimes lead to data not being shared as efficiently as possible. An MIS system can ease data sharing and collaboration, thus "knocking down walls" between departments.
With the ever so expanding business opportunities here at Riordan there is a definite need for the implementation of an MIS. With offices spread across the world managing information can and will turn into a much larger and more difficult task to accomplish. Though your current system works fine we need to look forward and plan to expand not only the footprint of the business, but also the need to manage this footprint. Currently, an employee gathers all required information and generates a report, while this may seem like a viable solution it is only a matter of time before errors and costs rise, due to the human element of this method. Though we would all like to rely on our employees it's much safer, smarter, and expandable to use management information system to assist in the generation of said reports.
Tracking financial information can be a painstaking task, but with this proposed system we can produce and review regular reports for every level of management inside of the business. Tracking purchase reports, payrolls, profits and many other aspects of the business in one system...
