Robinson Crusoe

Boken är skriven av Daniel Defoe. Daniel Defoe föddes 1659 i en relativt rik familj. Hans pappa hade andra planer för honom än vad han själv hade. Pappan ville nämligen att han skulle bli präst, och predika i olika frikyrkor. Men nej, det ville inte Daniel och så började han istället med skrivandet. Boken om Robinson Crusoe är en mycket populär och känd bok. Inspirationen till boken fick han när han läste ”the spectator”.

Robinson Crusoe var utgiven första gången i England 1719. Denna version som jag har gavs ut 2001, av Bokförlaget Bra Böcker. Den har givits ut i många förlag, och finns i många olika versioner. Denna som jag har läst är lite förkortad, även språkligt ...view middle of the document...

Till slut hamnar Robinson i Brasilien där han försörjer sig på tobaksodling. Men han är fortfarande inte nöjd. Återigen går han på ett skepp som ska segla till Afrikas kust. Men det skulle han inte ha gjort. Det blåser upp till förfärligt väder och alla ombord omkommer utom Robinson. Han tar sig i land på en liten ö, som var helt obebodd av människor och farliga djur. Men det visste han inte till en början, så då övernattade han i träden. Efter ett tag började han bygga en hydda med skydd runt, om det skulle visa sig finnas farliga djur. Han använde sig av saker som han hämtat från vraket, eftersom det inte låg så långt ifrån stranden. Det finns gott om fåglar och andra små djur på ön, som han skjuter, eller på andra sätt dödar för att få mat. På detta sätt lever han i många år, utan en blekaste aning om hur han ska komma därifrån.

En dag, några år efter att han kommit till ön, upptäcker han fotspår i sanden som skrämmer honom. Han får sedan reda på att det kommer från kannibaler som kommer till ön för att äta upp människorna som de har tagit till fånga. Plötsligt en gång lyckas en fånge att rymma. Robinson bestämmer sig då för att hjälpa honom. Fången blir otroligt tacksam för hjälpen han fått. Robinson döper honom till Fredag, eftersom det va den dagen som han kom till ön. Sedan utnämner han sig själv som herre av ön. Han lär Fredag allt han kan, även Engelskan. De blir bra vänner och hjälps åt med arbetet på ön. De lever tillsammans i några år, sedan en dag, kommer ett fartyg. Men mer än så tänker jag inte avslöja.

Robinson är mannen som hela boken handlar om. Han är uppfinningsrik, modig och smart, och kommer hela tiden på nya lösningar till sina problem. Om han misslyckas med något fortsätter han tills det blir bra. Han slösar aldrig, utan är sparsam med det han har. Han sår aldrig för mycket, ifall det skulle bli en dålig skörd.
