Should Abortion Really Be Legal? Essay

1069 words - 5 pages

Abortion is a critical topic that many people like to avoid arguing about. Abortion is currently legal and many “mothers” have aborted their baby. Abortion is a sensitive thing to consider and talk about for many, but it should be discussed and argued about. Abortion terminates a pregnancy after so much time has passed, that’s ending a life of another. Babies don’t ask to come into the world, but these doctors who are supposed to be saving lives are ending many of them. Abortion should not be legal.

Murdering people is illegal, so why isn’t abortion?Abortion ends lives of innocent human being, it is murder. Only one percent abortions are because of rape, and the highest percentage of ...view middle of the document...

In other words, murdering is the same as abortion, they both end a life.

The fetus/baby in the womb didn’t ask to come into the world, so nobody has any right to kill it or abort it. Terminating pregnancies is very dangerous for the “mother”, she can hemorrhage and the risk of breast cancer almost doubles. If they have intercourse, and end up pregnant, it may be their body, but that little fetus inside isn’t theirs. That fetus inside of them did not ask to come into this world and neither did anyone else to be brought into this world, so it shouldn’t be their choice or anyone else’s choice to terminate the fetus. That fetus is their responsibility, but we should not have the option to abort it. If a woman ends up pregnant, it is their and their “partner’s” fault, unless in case of rape, not the baby’s fault. If they don’t want to take on that big of a responsibility, give the baby up for adoption, do the same if the reason is financial problems. Even if they were raped, is killing the innocent fetus seem like a good thing? No, it is not a good thing, it is inhumane and murder as said in the above paragraph. A baby didn’t ask to come in this world, so why do women have the choice to terminate the “problem”, when a baby isn’t a problem, a baby is a miracle, a gift from above. People can’t decide to kill a human being outside the womb , because it’s murder, but isn’t abortion the killing of an unborn child? Yes it is! That unborn child in the womb did not ask to be there, so why can we kill them, if it is not our bodies to kill? That fetus in the womb is not someone’s property! It is a living human being who has the right to be born and live just like everyone else had the right! They don’t ask to be conceived, we shouldn't ask to have them terminated. To conclude, The baby didn’t ask to be here, but neither did anyone else.
