Should Abortions be Legal? This essay will show a distinction between abortion for convenience sake, and abortion for medical reasons, as well as abortion in the cases of rape/incest. People will view both sides of the on going question, should abortion be legal."The key argument for this issue is that a woman has a right to her own body. This is a true. However, the fetus, or unborn baby, is a distinct individual. Even though it resides inside its mother, it is a separate entity genetically. From the moment of conception, it is an entirely separate genetic individual." ( not everyone believes that a fetus is considered to be a life from the moment of conception. There are many reasons a woman chooses to have an abortion. I, personally, am against abortion to a certain degree. For example, if a woman was raped and became pregnant due to the rape, then I see no reason why she could not have an abortion. Most women who are raped and become pregnant do not have a loving bond with that baby and it can cause the child to be neglected or be harmed by the mother or even killed.Another case would be if a young girl was raped by her father or any male. I could than say I would be for that girl having an abortion. Or maybe a woman has a life threaten medical condition. The one thing I am against 100% is an abortion for convenience sake. I do not believe it is right for a woman to kill an unborn child just because she does not want the child. There are other options she could take. Women who have an abortion for convenience sake should be stopped from doing some.As a matter of fact, most abortions in US are done for convenience, while, medical reasons extremely rare. Most would argue that there are no good reasons to support abortion, other than serious health issues of the mother or baby, but I would have to disagree. As I stated earlier, if a woman was a raped victim or a victim of insect, then there is good cause. The number one argument against abortion is pro life, the right of the unborn child. Protester that are against abortions argue that abortion is morally wrong, legalized abortion is a sign of moral decay that is destroying America, the right of the unborn to live overcomes any right of woman to control her own body, abortion is wrong because it is taking a human life. The list goes on and on.On the other side of this argument is people who are "pro choice" and argue that religious beliefs plays a part in how live is viewed. For example, Judaism believes that life begins at birth, and abortion is not murder. Another example would be, laws never stopped abortion, but only regulated it to back alley butchers, when abortion was illegal is was the leading killer of pregnant women in US. Pro choice protesters agree that an unwanted pregnancy will produce an unwanted child. Feminists insist the value of an unborn boy or girl it to be determined by whether a woman wants him...
